A New Commitment — A Million Healthier Lives in 2009

As part of the company's continuing efforts to improve the health of people and the planet, Roger announced the company's newest campaign to create A Million Healthier Lives in 2009.  He also announced that, because of the current economic crisis, for the next 30 days through May 22nd, we'll be continuing to offer free membership in Shaklee, so that anyone may start their own business today, in an effort to provide an economic opportunity for one million Americans to provide for their families while also taking care of our planet.

My Shaklee Story

So why Shaklee?

Great question . . . here's my story:

If anyone had told me 10 years ago that I would be involved in a Social MarketingTM adventure, I would have said . . . "YOU ARE NUTZ" . . . now here's the "however".

About 8 years ago I was having huge sleep issues. I worked on the phone in customer service for a huge financial services house. I would fall asleep on the phone, I would fall asleep in meetings and I was dangerous on the road. They put me on 6 months disability. I was seeing a battallion of doctors and nothing seemed to work.

A friend of mine introduced me to Shaklee Energizing Protein. Within 2 months, 80% of the symptoms were gone; within 5 months I had kicked a $500/month prescription habit and fired 5 doctors. It was a nutritional thing.

Second Story:

I have diabetes type II; I was struggling to get it under control. My blood sugar readings were at 240.
